I couldn't believe how much ring pillows cost. Something really plain and simple can easily set you back by £8 - £15. That's really a lot to pay for something which you use only for a few minutes.
Then, inspired by the beautiful customised clay white ring dish I came across on one of the wedding blogs I read, I decided that ring dishes may be a cheaper option.
I bought this light pink heart-shaped dish (which came with two other smaller porcelain containers) from a Dalmatian charity shop online for £3 and tied a short length of cream satin ribbon to secure the rings.
I must say I am pretty pleased with the result!
